The Toledo Museum of Art and Toledo Symphony Orchestra share the Peristyle Theater – a 1,710-seat concert hall housed in the Museum’s East Wing. The Greek Revival-style theater is the winter home of the Toledo Symphony and the Toledo Opera. The Peristyle received a new acoustical canopy for its orchestra shell in March 2002. The canopy has improved hearing for the on-stage musicians of the Toledo Symphony Orchestra and projects a better-blended orchestral sound to the audience.
