The Old US Mint building, in the heart of the French Quarter, gained the New Orleans Jazz Museum 3rd floor Performing Arts Center to host and record local jazz musicians, as well as musicians from around the globe. The facility now serves as a flagship location for the New Orleans Jazz Museum and its partner, the New Orleans Jazz National Historical Park. Akustiks developed and oversaw the acoustical and audio video design for the performance venue as well as the attached recording control room with an integrated voice isolation booth. The 3rd floor performance space resides in the historic coinage room of the Old US Mint building.
