David H. Koch Theater – New York City Ballet

The David H. Koch Theater has been the home of the New York City Ballet since its opening in 1964 and following, home of the New York City Opera from 1964 to 2011. Originally, called the New York State Theater, it was designed by Philip Johnson and John Burgee. Akustiks oversaw the acoustical design of renovations to the Lobby, Patron’s Lounge and Rehearsal Rooms that included new modern dance floors.
