The world-renowned Cleveland Institute of Music selected Akustiks to expand its performance and teaching facilities to better serve its institutional mission. The firm was engaged to develop the acoustical design for a new distance learning center, recording control rooms, percussion studios and general practice rooms. The new centerpiece of the project is the 250-seat Mixon Recital Hall, where the expansive use of glass and rich wood finishes creates a jewel box environment for soloists and small ensembles.
