Bristol Arts and Innovation Magnet School is an adaptive reuse of an existing high school building originally constructed in 1921. The school houses students in grades 6 through 12 and brings to Bristol a modern teaching facility focusing on performing arts, STEAM, theatrical, and recording technology education. The teaching spaces were designed to meet Connecticut’s classroom acoustics standards while the renovation work included preservation of the existing 900-seat proscenium theater as well as the addition of an adaptable Multi-Purpose Room.
