This 9,000-seat auditorium has become one of the most successful and important entertainment venues in Latin America. The Auditorium is the first building of an ambitious cultural center (theaters, library, museum among other facilities) being developed by the University of Guadalajara at the Zapopan Campus. Auditorio Telmex is a flexible space that can expand from 2,700 to 11,500 spectators by means of a system of lifts, moveable walls, screens and portable seating. Since its opening, Auditorio Telmex has presented a wide range of entertainment and cultural activities (from rock concerts to classical music), proving its versatility to highly diverse audiences. At the 2008 Pollstar Concert Industry Awards, it ranked fourth as International Theater of the Year. Working in collaboration with our Mexico based associate, Akustiks designed the audio and sound enhancement systems for both popular entertainment and classical music, and provided comprehensive acoustic design and construction administration services.
