The Auditorio Ibirapuera is an indoor and outdoor music pavilion situated in the Ibirapuera Park in Sao Paulo, Brasil. The 800-seat venue was originally designed by Oscar Niemeyer in the 1950s but never realized. Akustiks and our affiliate office Acustica & Sonica in Sao Paulo, worked with Niemeyer in 2002 to develop the acoustical and sound system designs for the new facility. The rear wall of the stage opens up to reveal the parklands outside, a unique feature of the building that offers great opportunities for performance for both indoor and outdoor settings in the park.
