The Auditorio Ibirapuera is an indoor and outdoor music pavilion, designed ahead of its time, situated in the Ibirapuera Park in Sao Paulo, Brasil. The 800-seat venue was originally designed by Oscar Niemeyer in the 1950s but not realized at the time. Akustiks and our affiliate office Acustica & Sonica in Sao Paulo, worked with Niemeyer to develop the acoustical and sound system designs for the new facility. The rear wall of the stage opens up to reveal the parklands outside, a unique feature of the building that offers great opportunities for performance in both indoor and outdoor settings in the park.
